Business Analyst (Data & Digital Integration)



Reporting to the Business Applications Manager the role of the Technical Analyst is to deliver technical solutions of data integration, business application systems, database modelling and BI reports in line with functional specifications. The technical analyst will support the Organisation’s MDAX ERP, BI and other business software applications, perform performance tuning activities, ensure centralised master data governance, and coordinate digital integration projects. The role forms part of the IT solutions delivery team will work with technical resources and business champions from different departments to ensure that solution functionality, software quality assurance and security of deployed technical solutions are aligned with business requirements.


Key Accountabilities

ERP Business Application Architecture

  • Design and deploy technical solutions / configurations for ERP software architecture
  • Design and deploy BI dashboard and reports in line with business requirements
  • Ensure all ERP solutions’ adherence to the Master Data Model and ERP security model
  • Develop appropriate data views and visualizations to deliver a single source of business information
  • Coordinate creation of system integration interfaces and ETL functions
  • Coordinate performance optimisation and upgrades of the ERP software in collaboration with the Infra team
  • Maintain design documentation for Company ERP and Software updates, modifications, and releases

ICT Project Management

  • Collaborates with business & technical users to drive delivery of software technical projects to support and enable business automation projects
  • Coordinate 3rd party systems integrators and developers for delivery of software projects
  • Perform testing and release process is followed for all software modifications, upgrades and deployments

Systems & Software Support

  • Provides  1st & 2nd level support to end users
  • Coordinate 3rd level technical support with 3r party development teams
  • Collaborate closely with the IT infrastructure team on ERP and SQL services
  • Train business users in BI tools and data management principles


  • Modification of practices and procedures and determine own priorities


Ideal Candidate Profile



  • MQF Level 6 qualification in Computer Science, Business Analytics or Software Development



  • Minimum of 2 years’ of ICT professional experience.
  • Experience in software development, BI, report building and data modelling


Technical Skills

  • Technical knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX platform (or similar ERP solution)
  • Technical knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics, MSSQL, Power BI, XML, .NET, web services, SSIS, APIs and AIF
  • Strong understanding of database concepts and design techniques
  • Strong understanding software quality assurance techniques
  • Understanding of concepts relevant to data warehousing, SQL and reporting
  • Understanding of project management techniques
  • Understanding of software development using traditional and agile methodologies
  • Capability to choose required procedures for tasks
  • Capability to search for solutions, analyse requirements, and organise work effectively
